I invest mainly in UK stocks as that is where I have gained my experience. There are clearly opportunities to invest in overseas companies, and it is fair to say that it is now much easier to get the information you need. I think that for a private investor, such as myself, with limited time resources, it is better not to spread my net too wide. For me, it makes sense to focus my efforts on a market where I have experience and familiarity.
I focus on mid and small-sized companies but not exclusively.
The FTSE 100 Index comprises the largest 100 companies and by value accounts for around 70% of the UK market, The FTSE 250, (the next 250 companies) accounts for about 25% of the market by value, and the FTSE Small Cap, FTSE Fledgling and FTSE AIM, the remainder.

I have been thinking about the most efficient use of the time I dedicate to investment and my diary.
I have decided to stop updating my diary with a weekend roundup.
The useful information is in my updates during the week and monthly review.

The Market Overview I will miss and any thoughts for the short term ahead. Disappointed that the weekly update will be dropped.
I fully agree with all of the other comments. It will be a big miss if I cannot see the weekly movers which one way or the other assist in some short term decision making.
I would really miss the weekly numbers
Just the weekly and ytd numbers would be fine, preferably with a list of biggest gainers/losers
I don’t need the tables or more commentary
If. I have to trade something it would be the monthly report
It’s a meaningless time in investing terms and generally contains stuff that. I have become aware of from other sources during the month

I agree with William - it would at least be helpful to have the portfolio values page updated at the end of each week with current vlues if that is not too much trouble please.

Oh dear - I measure myself slavishly against your fund performance and the index (I normally come 3rd!). Can you not just provide each week the YTD % gain/loss for each portfolio?
