Weekend Admin: Improving Your JIC Reading Experience with Substack

I am updating how my diary entries are delivered to provide you with a better reading experience. Going forward, all diary entries will appear on both the JIC website and Substack. Full access to these posts remains strictly exclusive to JIC members.

The Benefits of Substack:

• Multi-Platform Access: While specifically formatted for a much cleaner reading experience on smartphones, you can also easily use Substack on your PC.

• Flexible Alerts: You can choose to be notified of new posts via email, a push notification from the app, or both.

• Inbox Control: By moving to Substack notifications, you can comfortably unsubscribe from the multiple automated emails you currently receive from the JIC website.

  
  

Setup Instructions: Please follow these steps to connect your membership:

1. Download the Substack App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (or simply visit the Substack website on your PC).

2. Sign up for a free account. 

3. Configure notifications. When prompted, it is best to opt for both email and App notifications to start. You can easily adjust this later in your settings. (Note: The app may ask to access your contacts or suggest other writers to follow. You can safely skip or decline these for now.

4. Find JIC. Use the search button to locate JIC, and then subscribe.

5. Skip the paid upgrade. Substack will prompt you to upgrade to a paid subscription. Please ignore this. You are already a paid JIC member.

6. Wait for approval. Once you subscribe, I will verify your email against the active JIC member list and manually upgrade your Substack account to grant you full access. I will confirm with you once this is done.

7. Please be sure to check your spam or junk folders for my welcome email from Substack, in case it gets filtered there.

How Substack and the Website Work Together. Substack will run seamlessly alongside the main site, delivering my diary entries in a timely, easily readable format. Every diary entry will include a direct link back to the main website, allowing you to easily click through to view my portfolios or trade history.

Once you are comfortable using Substack, unsubscribe from the email notifications from Wix (my website platform) and, if you are on the Mailchimp list, unsubscribe from that list as well.
